A space for Health Protection Society members to discuss matters of common interest, share reports of outbreaks and incidents, teaching materials and keep up to date with online CPD (discussion forum, access to presentations, reports and other documents). The Health Protection Society aims to promote high quality CPD readily accessible to all with an interest in health protection at minimal cost. We run regular regional CPD events, an online CPD program on this website with MCQ questions and "difficult scenarios" on topics of current interest, and the facilities to share teaching slides, incidents and outbreaks of general interest and to start web based discussion groups.
Next Health Protection Society CPD day Tuesday 2 August 2016 10am – 4pm in the Seminar room A in the NHS building at 8, Collingwood Road, Witham, Essex CM8 2TT.
A day looking at sampling and laboratory techniques new and old for foodstuffs and water.
Another CPD Day is organised in October 2016 Prof Gareth Williams will be giving a talk in the Bristol area on the eradication of polio – further details to follow on the HPSociety website
As a result of the vote on changes to the constitution there will be one category of membership for all with a professional interest in health protection and the name of the society will change to "Health Protection Society" from 1st April 2015.
